ABOUT WLS
More than a decade ago, Josh Holland responded to a need he saw in the camping industry. Many camps did a great job certifying their lifeguards and swim instructors, but there was nothing for the waterfront director. There was no training that addressed the pressures, calculations, time demands, and particular challenges of leading a summer camp waterfront. This gap poses risks for any summer camp. Something was needed to close this gap.
Waterfront Leadership School (WLS) does this. In five days we take a future waterfront director, wakesports director, assistant waterfront director, or pool supervisor and get them ready to lead your staff in one of your most dangerous areas.
It isn't easy. But it's worth it. Your WLS candidate will be up before the sun and late to bed for a solid week. They will learn how to lead, how to prepare for and execute quality instructional programs, and how to organize and implement a waterfront orientation that will have your aquatic staff humming with skill, teamwork, and enthusiasm.
